Hello!

Write "something" about yourself is a difficult task...

This guy can be known by many names:
- just "Luís";
- some dear good old friends from youth know me as Miguel - my second name;
- my mother/father used to call me "Luís Miguel" when they were mad at me ;);
- at the office I'm usually called by "Fonseca".
 The bottom line of all this information is that a name doesn't mean much about one person, I do have many names but I'm still be the same person... My name doesn't say much about me, so...

 What else can be said? I'm 184 cm tall, 89 kg of weight, dark eyes and hair, living in Lisbon's suburbs... That doesn't say much about me either..

 Hey, probably I don't even know that well "who" I really am!!! :) Just kidding, or maybe not :) Some things that happened in the last year make me, sometimes, wonder about that subject ;)
 So, what do "others" think? Some truly believe that I'm always looking for perfection in what I do and, it's kind of true. I do always try my best in everything I do, even if it's a marbles tournament! I'm not a sick compulsively competitive person but I don't appreciate to fail! I reckon that's also part of life and we can learn a lot with our mistakes but, I try to avoid it!
 Anyway, as time goes by, I tend to find more and more interesting the small flaws that we have as human beings... Perhaps in another time of my life, when younger, some "issues" regarding one's "looks" would mean a lot to me but, currently I find quite frustrating getting to know someone with great "looks" but empty "inside"...
 Well, that doesn't make that much sense for someone who wants to be as "perfect" as he can be but, perhaps, what many may consider to be a flaw may be what makes me think that something or someone is "perfect"... It's all a question of point of view so, I'll end it here, before I confuse myself :-D

 There are other things about me that only daily contact would "teach" you ;). I've use in the Portuguese version of this page a long story connected to the Stargate SG1 Sci-Fi series, the "Ori" religion in that series and the "figure of speech" that I like to use as much I can in daily topics but, I guess it's enough to say I'm not a religious man. I have faith that something or entities greater than humans may exist but, blindly believe in one certain religion is not my thing… Specially knowing that, in the past and present, many wars have been fought in some sort of religion's name... It makes no sense to me!

 I could say a lot more about myself but I can't find the right words in English or even in Portuguese, there are information's that could be quite important to the reader that would only show up when a certain topic arises, like football, or beer :-D. Maybe one day we'll be able to meet over the Internet or even in "the real life", and you could get to know what I think about it ;)

 I'll do my best to, one day, rewrite parts of this page, specially because I know I could do better but, my English skills where acquired with 5 years of English in High School, some TV and movies, a lot of Internet, and some travelling abroad where English was used on daily basis.

 I guess it's not bad to understand the language, and be understood by others!
